Piia Elo is the Mayor of Turku, Finland, and Europe Regional Seat Holder on ICLEI’s Global Executive Committee. She has served on Turku’s City Council since 2008 and previously as Deputy Mayor, focusing on education, youth services, and employment. Her priorities include equal access to education, wellbeing of young people, and sustainable development. With an international background in social sciences and public administration, Mayor Elo values openness, collaboration, and social justice, and is committed to building an inclusive, climate-positive Turku.
