Circular economy in Albania: Opportunities for reusable packaging systems and women’s participation

This report focuses on implementing reuse business models in Albania’s circular economy, emphasizing the role of women entrepreneurs. The study involves desk and online research and interviews with private businesses, public institutions, and NGOs, primarily in Tirana. It provides a concise analysis of Albania’s waste management sector, identifying enablers and barriers to waste prevention and reuse. The report proposes approaches to incentivize existing efforts and explores the potential for reuse systems in packaging.
