Supporting Circular Food Systems Through Public Procurement

This case study, prepared under the Circular Turku project, outlines how the city of Turku’s strategic procurement department contributes toward Turku’s carbon neutrality goal by decreasing lifecycle emissions of food services, reducing food waste, and switching to vegetarian meals. Success factors and positive impacts of the strategy are highlighted.
