Sustainable River-based Urban Planning for Sub-Saharan Africa: Guidelines

These practitioner- and policymaker-oriented guidelines advise on best practices for including riverine processes and considerations in sustainable city planning in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The guidelines are an output of ICLEI Africa’s four-year flagship project Urban Natural Assets for Africa: Rivers for Life (UNA Rivers) with funding from SwedBio, a program of the Stockholm Resilience Centre.
