It looks at the potential of the circular economy in a selection of key economic sectors across the continent and highlights existing circular economy practices. The collection focuses on what lessons and inspirations can be drawn from these practices, rather than offering specific solutions or recommendations. It also covers the opportunities in terms of economic development and job creation, and the wider social and environmental benefits.
The sectors explored in this study are Automotives, Built environment, Electronics and e-waste, Fashion and textiles, Finance, Food and agriculture, Plastics, and Policy.
The insights further consider the key role of public policy and the financial sector in creating the enabling conditions needed for the transition.
